After 14+ years, in that last month of 2009 I decided I needed close Stepwise. This was not what I wanted to do. It was not easy to do, yet it was a snap decision. I have done this for myself. Let's call it "an action of personal mental health resolution" and leave it at that.
This has nothing to do with any Internet wackos that have plagued me for years, for no reason. Nor were there copyright issues.
Sadly, it was just something I had to do.
I deeply appreciate many of those who contributed to the site over the years, both advertisers and many of those who contributed articles. Without them, there would have been no Stepwise.
I also want to thank everyone who read Stepwise for years and who supported the site and myself. Those people and actions meant evertything to me.
I do blog from time to time at www.abandoninplace.com. Perhaps I'll write something that will interest you there. If you need to reach me, use that site.
Before you ask, I have none of the files that were here. I decided that I had two options:
I chose to delete the entire site. It was selfish, but necessary. And I'm sorry to those who feel slighted by it.
I miss the lack of interaction with my readers the most. Many of you were, and still are, an important part of my life. This is the biggest loss for me personally.
This is not as good as the page that was here. You can blame my kids for that. I was trying to give them a placeholder site and I goofed up. What can I say? It's been a long time since I've had to mess with the publishing aspect of HTML.
Incidentally, I do not grant anyone permission to re-print any content that was on the site. If it isn't your's, don't do it.
Thanks for everything
Scott Anguish
I've been asked if I want to sell the Stepwise.com domain. That is not an easy question to answer.
I have a significant investment into both the personal aspect of the site and the branding. It would need to be a signficant offer to even consider it. But I would.
But, cocoaprogramming.net is available. :-)
